When many gamers heard that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would require Valve's gaming platform Steam installed in order to play, many were negative and sceptical and questioned Activision's choice. For many others it was the first time they had heard about Steam and because of not knowing what Steam was all about, opted for other games that could be played out of the box without installing a 3rd-Party application.
However, Steam is a great platform for gamers and for gaming. Not only is it free, a small download and simple to use, nut it also has a host of features that would require multiple applications and websites open together all at once to simply do what Steam does. From automatically updating and installing game patches and fixes, to online chat, from a fully loaded store to an effective download manager, Steam is a highly recommended tool for all games and with all it has to offer, one would question why anyone would not have it already installed. |

Ask any gamer and you will find (and probably agree too) that the hardest part about playing any game is firstly deciding which game to buy. To make this part of gaming a little easier, why not try the game before you buy it?
“Try Before You Buy!” gives you the opportunity to download the demos of various PC games, both old and new, so that you can experience what the game is like first-hand before you decide you want to buy it. This lets you see whether or not the game is actually what you are looking for or if it is just a waste of time and money. This weeks featured demos: Grand Ages: Rome, Iron Grip: Warlord and Open Season.

Think about it... Why would you just buy a game because the cover looks really interesting or the game trailer looks epic and amazing? Most times the game just isn’t all that entertaining when you get it home anyway!

A teaser website with a teaser trailer is live and the Noize Team has analysed the one minute teaser, to give you some insight into what Activision, along with Treyarch, have in store for us.
