Walk into any store that sells games and you will probably have your eyes feasting on well over 50 game titles. The question always then follows, "Which one will I buy today?"!
“Try Before You Buy!” gives you the opportunity to download the demos of various PC games, both old and new, so that you can experience what the game is like first-hand before you decide you want to buy it. This lets you see whether or not the game is actually what you are looking for or if it is just a waste of time and money. This weeks featured demos: Black and White 2, Titan Quest and Monkey Island Chapter 1.

Rabbids are a species of maniacal, anthropomorphic rabbits. The Rabbids appear as stout rabbits with large round eyes and a big mouth with two huge teeth. They stand around two feet tall with their ears adding an extra foot to their height and tend to be somewhat mentally unstable.
Regardless of their origin, appearance and level of sanity, they have invaded our planet and adapted some of our cultures. It is for this peaceful and joyful Human-Rabbid coexistence, mainly amongst gamers, that they wish us a Merry Christmas! |

It sure does seem that these days everyone, from the kid at school to Santa himself, has been hit by the world's desire to have everyone being politically correct. This obviously has value to it as it can show respect towards other people but it also gives room for much humour and joking.
The following poem by Harvey Ehrlich written in 1992 (when being politically correct was all the hype for the first time) is a classic example of how, with a sense and touch of creativity, humour can be found in almost every situation, also proving the issues that politically correctness can bring. |

From the "Please Don't Try This" preformances of the WWE to the Omnitrix of Ben 10, every major TV series and movie will feature a truck load of merchandise (including games these days) along side it. This hyped and often sad attempt to increase social appeal or acceptability is know as 'selling out' or the 'sell out'!
This Xmas join Codex (Felicia Day) and Zaboo (Sandeep Parikh) Stars of the epic web series 'The Guild', as the Guild sells out with a line of merchandise no sane consumer would ever consider purchasing but every Guild fan would want. |
