The future of gaming in Namibia is looking bright and interesting! More and more people are playing games, both PC and console, and the public's impression of gaming is also changing.

People seem to be less likely to consider gamers nowadays as these stereotypical 32 year old geeks with coke-bottle glasses living with their mom and who hardly ever see the real light of day (or night).

Noize has and will always be right at the helm of gaming in Namibia and as gaming develops in Namibia, so too the various opportunities that will present themselves. It is in light of this that you need to have your say.

Noize has been active behind the proverbial curtains getting the show on the road with regards to promoting and developing competitive gaming as well as casual gaming for the average Joe! Via a series of various polls, here on Noize and on the Namibia Gaming Community forum, the Noize Team has decided that the timing is right to introduce consoles to the Namibian competitive gaming stage.

With this announcement there comes a huge amount of decisions that need to be made with regards to which consoles and games need to be used and played as well as other logistics that go with it. Console gaming is still regarded as the "Family" or "casual" form of gaming in Namibia and it will be a challenge to bring the console to the same level of competitiveness as the PC has currently in Namibia.

The Noize Team is also hard at work, looking at ways of getting gaming into the public and to give it the popularity boost it needs in order for gaming to develop as a sport and as a viable industry in Namibia. Having gaming at public events like expos and shows is a great way to do just this, but we need your say here as well.
